Yes we'll take it. Another win and a move towards top half after a 3-2 against Bootle FC. So GNE have no game this weekend so to keep FCA going let's go to Ashton United who play Stalybridge Celtic in The NPL. A good old local derby this with lumps flying everywhere. Give it a go.

Yes a good local game I think. In a way we are fortunate to have a strong Non-League presence very near to GNE.
The likes of Ashton Utd., Ashton Town, Curzon Ashton, Hyde Utd, Stalybridge Celtic, Mossley, Stockport County
make a rich tapestry of good local rivalry. LUV IT!
Am getting a pleasing feeling for GNE on the pitch. I go on about him but since Jamie Rainford's return the club has put a decent run together. Rainford was class the first time he was here and he is class again.
I note we have transferred in Casey Shakeshaft, a young goalkeeper from Cammell Laird and St Helens Town. Good Luck to him.
My view on GNE's lowest crowd is that it was entirely due to City being on Freeview. Lower league takes the hit every time from the pro game. I'm not against City or United but I would hope that Non-League might have a designated day in the week when they play when no high level pro football was played or shown. Fat chance....fat cats won't allow it.
Well that's the parish notices so have a good rest of the week.
