We feared the worst today as GNE's performances against weaker teams has not been great. To be fair, Kendal were not a bad side. They changed managers recently and have brought in a number of players who are more committed to the cause. They never gave up today and credit to them!
The two goals just before the break secured the win for GNE. (Rainford and Wilshaw - both headers). Second half we created quite a lot of openings but the ball just did not run for us. We seemed just a little bit frantic at times. However three points was the aim and it was a great result for the club. A crowd of 299 was an added bonus and the atmosphere in the Trenches approached some of the great days of the recent past. Also good feeling in the bar after the game. Eight games unbeaten and congratulations to Stuart and the team as we look upwards!

Totally agree, would go so far as to say best home performance in a longtime. Keaton the stand out player. Good atmosphere and great to see a good crowd.
