:)AT 10.30am ON SUNDAY 22.02.04 THE U20s KICK OFF AGAINST DUKINFIELD AMATEURS. THIS WILL BE THE BIGGEST MATCH OF THE SEASON AS THE WINNERS WILL ALMOST CERTAINLY BE CHAMPIONS.IF YOU WANT TO WATCH A GREAT GAME OF FOOTBALL THEN COME ALONG TO SURREY STREET AND GIVE US YOUR SUPPORT. EVERY ONE OF OUR PLAYERS IS A LOCAL GLOSSOP LAD. THE PIE HUT WILL BE OPEN TO SERVE YOU YOUR BACON BUTTY.
WE WON 3-1.THE FIRST HALF WAS FAIRLY EVEN BUT THEY SNATCHED A GOAL IN INJURY TIME TO LEAD 1-0 AT HALF TIME. AT THE START OF THE SECOND HALF WE REALLY GOT INTO THEM AND A WATCHING LEAGUE OFFICIAL TOLD ME AFTER THE GAME THAT THE BALL DID NOT LEAVE DUKINFIELDS HALF FOR TWENTY MINUTES. WE SCORED TWO GOALS IN THIS PERIOD AND WE COULD EASILY HAVE SCORED A LOT MORE. WE GOT A THIRD GOAL WITH ABOUT TEN MINUTES LEFT. THE SCORERS WERE HYDE, HIND AND ARMSTRONG. TO BE TOTALLY SURE OF THE TITLE WE NEED THREE MORE POINTS. WE SHOULD EASILY GET THEM AS ONE OF OUR LAST TWO GAMES IS AGAINST THE TEAM AT THE BOTTOM WHO WE HAVE BEATEN ONCE THIS SEASON 18-0.WE HAVE ALSO REACHED ONE OF THE CUP FINALS WHERE WE PLAY DENTON TOWN ON WEDNESDAY 7.04.04 AT CURZON ASHTONS GROUND. KICK OFF IS AT 7.15pm AND THE MORE SUPPORT THE BETTER.

Chris, as you know I watched the game, and can I just say you are being very Kind to Duki Town. Firstly, they ONLY reason it was even in the first half was because you lads were nervous. Once they overcome that they hammered Duki the whole second half, and after the third goal, at least two of their players, asked to be taken off. Secondly, the ref was a joke! How many late tackles came in from the Duki players, and not one of them got pulled. Yet he gives out two yellow cards to Glossop players for time wasting!!!
With the players you've got, the futures bright at Glossop NE
